Canada and Germany aim to establish a new transatlantic hydrogen supply chain within three years.
The agreement signed by Canada’s natural resources minister Jonathan Wilkinson and German vice-chancellor Robert Habeck involves a five-page declaration of interest in a net-zero fuel alliance, Canadian Press reported.
Canada will be largely responsible for boosting production of hydrogen, while Germany will mainly focus on setting up a shipping corridor to transport it across the Atlantic.
