BW LNG FSRU newbuilding reports for duty off Port Qasim in Pakistan

A BW LNG-controlled floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) newbuilding has arrived off Pakistan as the country prepares to start up its second LNG import project.

Vessel tracking data show the 170,000-cbm BW Integrity, which left Singapore last month, sitting off Port Qasim near Karachi.

The FSRU is to become the import unit for the Pakistan GasPort (PGPL) consortium.

BW announced in August last year that it had won the job to supply a unit for the project.
