Expansionist-minded BW Gas is boosting its burgeoning LNG carrier stable with a pair of apparently speculative newbuildings.
It confirmed the two 173,400-cbm duo — Hull Nos 2490 and 2491 — on Monday at DSME, where it has been a regular customer.
A statement by the shipyard priced the vessels at $185m each, with delivery due in the first half of 2020, but did not name the owner.
