Bureau Veritas says it has approved the use of new gas containment systems developed by France's GTT, including for use in LNG bunkering.
The Paris-based classification society issued a "broad swathe of approvals" covering the two new containment systems: the Mark III Flex+, which has a lower boil-off rate (BOR) than previous iterations of the Mark III, and the GTT Mars, containment system developed for LPG carriers that is adaptable to any size of tank or ship.
