Benelux Overseas is selling a 33 year old VLGC for demolition, shortly after buying a slightly younger vessel.
The Greek shipowner has sold the 80,000-cbm Isis Gas (built 1985) for scrapping in India for $442 per ldt or $8.6m, demolition market sources said.
A sale of a ship of this age for scrap comes hardly as a surprise given the abysmal state of the freight market.
