Western VLGC market prospects remain positive despite limited arbitrage opportunities, analysts have said.
The Baltic Exchange VLGC index of spot rates from the Middle East to Asia closed down 1.4% at $56.29 per tonne, or $39,243 per day on 28 May, while Clarksons Platou Securities pegged overall earnings at $36,800, down 7.5% week on week.
US propane barrels are rated by the investment bank as "relatively expensive" partly due to low inventories.
