A pioneering aframax tanker for shipowner AET has taken on its first LNG bunkers in an operation with charterer Shell in the Port of Rotterdam.
The tanker owner's 113,416-dwt Eagle Brasilia (built 2018) took on 450 tonnes of LNG, equating to around 1,040 cbm, or 60% of the vessel’s LNG bunker capacity, from Shell’s specialised bunkering vessel, the 6,500-cbm Cardissa (built 2017).
