Japan’s Inpex Corp says it expects to start gas production from the wellhead for the Ichthys LNG project in Australia within a week or two.
It said it has completed commissioning of all key onshore and offshore facilities for production start-up of the $40bn project.
The company said first shipments of LPG, condensate and LNG would begin by the end of September this year.
