New K Line boss Takenori Igarashi is asking staff to draw on “animal spirit” as the giant Japanese group looks to expand in car carriers, bulkers and LNG.
In a speech to workers on Tuesday, the chief executive said the uncertainty around geopolitical risks and trade policies has been increasing.
Igarashi cited the Middle East and Ukraine, as well as the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.
