Yangzijiang Shipbuilding’s third quarter net profit slumpped by 55% to CNY 313.4m ($46.2m), figures released after the close of trading Thursday show.
The Singapore-listed shipbuilder saw revenue slide by just 6% to CNY 3.8bn, while costs for the quarter were 5% lower at just over CNY 3bn.
Yangzijiang secured new orders for three 1,900-teu and four 1,800-teu containerships during the quarter taking its order haul for the year-to-date to $650m.
