Australia’s Wellard is down to its last ship after striking a lucrative deal for a veteran livestock carrier.
The Sydney-listed company said it had agreed a binding contract to sell the 6,800-dwt Ocean Ute (built 1994) for $12m in cash.
It has been bought by Marshall Islands-registered Bassem Dabbah Shipping, which has one other livestock ship.
