Trader and shipowner Vitol will bank $2.15bn from selling its US upstream energy company Vencer Energy.
The commodities giant said Civitas Resources is buying the business, which was set up in 2020.
Vencer acquired an asset base in 2021 from Hunt Oil Co comprising 44,000 net acres (178 square kilometres) in the Midland Basin in Texas.
