Asyaport is developing a $413m deepwater terminal inBarbaros in the southwest corner of Turkey.
The project will help reduce bottlenecks, improve thequality of port services in the Bosphorus and foster greater competition in theTurkish port sector, EBRD said in a statement.
“The ability to handle larger containerships at the portwill reduce handling costs and increase the competitiveness of regionaltranshipment terminal services for container cargo destined for Black Sea ports,”it added.
