Shares of Tsakos Energy Navigation surged in early trading Friday after turning in a second-quarter loss that topped Wall Street forecasts.
New York-quoted TEN watched its stock climb 9.92% to $5.21 after reporting a deficit of $5.7m, versus a loss of $18.2m in the comparable period a year prior.
The result amounted to $0.10 in lost earnings per share, beating analysts’ consensus estimate by seven cents, as revenues rose 12.7%
