In the wake of reports that Today Makes Tomorrow (TMT) sold the 35,000-dwt Hyundai Mipo built B Handy (built 2011) to Greek buyers a well-placed source with ties to the Taiwanese operator’s Chapter 11 case says the rumours are off the mark.
The contact claims a loan backed by a mortgage on the vessel, and not the ship itself, was sold to a firm that specialises in the acquisition of distressed debt.
