Awilhelmsen chief executive Sigurd Thorvildsen remains one of the best-paid businessmen in Norway despite a 10% dip in his total remuneration last year.
The company's annual report shows that Thorvildsen was paid NOK 52.5m ($6.5m) in salary and bonus.
His pay levels are tied to the financial performance of the privately held, Oslo-based conglomerate.
