The Pacific Carriers-controlled company, which currentlyoperates a fleet of 18 vessels comprising 15 bulkers and three tankers, kickedoff 2013 with a two-thirds fall in net profit to MYR 9m ($2.9m).
Kuala Lumpur-based HwangDBS Vickers is predicting earningsto reach a trough of MYR 49m this year from MYR 66m in 2012.
However it expects net profit to grow by around 50% per yearover the next two years thanks to an average rise in dry cargo charter rates of5% in 2014 and 10% the following year.
