Norwegian technology group Kongsberg says it has weathered the pandemic storms of the second quarter despite a 22% reduction in new orders for its maritime division.
Reporting a slump in group order intake to NOK 6.01bn ($650m) from NOK 9.3bn in the second quarter of 2019, chief executive Geir Haoy said operating results showed Kongsberg has so far been “successful in carrying out the tasks and dealing with the challenges related to the Covid-19 outbreak”.
