The Oslo-listed shipowner will take a 20% stake in Norterminal near Kirkenes in the north of the country, it said in a statement.
The facility will have the capacity to store up to 700,000-cbm of crude and natural gas and is due to be commissioned in 2018.
In the meantime Norterminal plans to provide a floating storage facility in the area.
