The Nasdaq-quoted bulker operator landed on the TradeWinds Shipping Index’s list of “Best Performers” in early trading Wednesday after rising 8.36% to $7.00.
Yesterday afternoon the owner took the title of “Worst Performer” when its stock slid 13.29% before bottoming out at $6.46 in the hour leading up to the close.
A number of equity analysts contacted by TradeWinds believe the decline was fuelled by renewed concerns about a funding gap linked to its newbuilding programme.
