US advisory firm Qorval has teamed up with shipping finance consultant Paul Slater to launch a new maritime restructuring practice.
Slater, the restructuring expert who already heads consultancy First International, will take the helm of the new division, which will also focus on strategic solutions.
The move comes at a time when Slater believes that restructuring efforts currently being carried out by shipowners are insufficient in the face of a downturn that he expects to last another four or five years.
