Hong Kong container line SITC has reported an increase in first-half shipping revenue from $317m to $394m year-on-year.
But gross profit was down from $42.6 in the first six months of 2010 to $27.9m for the first half of this year.
The company operated a fleet of 49 feeder vessels throughout the Far East; 16 are company owned and 33 chartered.
The rise in revenue was generated by an increase in cargo volume and in freight rates.
