Shipping shares went back on the losing path in New York on Tuesday after a significant morning rally in the broader indices reversed in afternoon trading.
The broader move saw all three major indices – the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq – surrender gains of more than 3% in the early hours. All three were losing ground in late-afternoon business.
