US shipping shares joined in a New York rally Tuesday that brought broader market stock indexes to record highs.
Bulker owners Genco Shipping & Trading and Star Bulk Carriers, and offshore vessel owners GulfMark Offshore and Hornbeck Offshore Services (HOS) all saw their stock prices jump by more than 11%.
An analyst noted that that's not a remarkable day on Wall Street, where shipping stocks have seen even wider swings.
