Leasing giant SFL Corp is to build two more dual-fuel car carrier newbuildings that will enter into fixed employment on delivery.
The John Fredriksen-backed shipowner said the two 7,000-ceu vessels, which will be able to run on LNG and conventional fuels, will be fixed on 10-year charters to an unnamed "Asia-based transportation company".
The aggregate construction cost will be around $155m, and New York-listed SFL said the fixed employment will add over $200m to its contracted charter backlog.
