Victor Restis’ investment last week in small US-listed dry bulk player Globus Maritime is the latest in a string of close ties linking him to the Feidakis family, the company’s principals.

Restis and Globus founder George Feidakis did business together even before the company went public 11 years ago — first on London’s AIM and later on the Nasdaq.

The five bulkers Globus started out with in 2006 had been purchased from Restis’ Enterprises Shipping & Trading (EST), in an $125m en-bloc deal.
