OSG’s decision to extend nine of American Shipping Co (AMSC) bareboat charters is set to benefit both parties, say analysts.
“The new charters add cash flow visibility and reduce employment risk, and will be supportive for AMSC in the processes of refinancing existing bank debt and exploring future opportunities within the recovering Jones Act market,” said Arctic Securities analyst Jo Ringheim.
