A survey by the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (NSA) reveals its members have seen revenue slump by about a quarter due to the impact of coronavirus, and could fall by as much as 35% by the year’s end.
The expected decline in income for the full year amounts to about NOK 83bn ($7.8bn).
Norwegian shipping companies had been expecting a turnover of NOK 244 bn in 2020 but they now expect it to be about NOK 161bn.
