The Norwegian freight, demurrage and defence club, Nordisk, has named deputy managing director, Karl Even Rygh, to succeed Georg Scheel, who is to retire in mid-April.
Rygh has been with Nordisk for seven years and before that was with the Thommessen law firm.
The new managing director has focussed on newbuilding contracts, ship financing, sale and purchase and bareboat transaction business at Nordisk, in addition to being part of the offshore and energy group.
