Enigmatic Taiwanese shipowner Nobu Su has launched a new epic — and we don’t mean a ship.
His long-promised book, The Gold Man from the East, finally came out this month — complete with full-page advert in the UK’s Financial Times displaying the slightly disturbing cover image of a face melting into molten liquid.
Published by Gatecrasher Books and dedicated to his wife, daughters and family, Su takes his readers on a 200-plus page romp through his favourite topic — how, he alleges, Royal Bank of Scotland nearly ruined him, and a wealth of conspiracy theories relating to this and the wider financial crisis of 2008.
