The dispute relates to a series of forward freight agreements (FFAs) contracted in mid 2008 between Su and Lakatamia Shipping, a single ship company that owns the 48,700-dwt Lakatamia (built 2000) that is part of the fleet of Haji-Ioannou’s Singapore based venture World Tankers Management.
Lakatamia is taking action against Su, five TMT companies, as well as Iron Monger 1, named as a corporate guarantor of the contract.
