Greece’s Navios Maritime Partners has edged up first quarter profit after it added two bulkers to its fleet.
The New York-listed company said net earnings to 31 March were $16.93m, compared to $16.6m in the comparable period of 2011.
Revenue grew to $47.98m against $42.8m as its operating days increased.
CEO Angeliki Frangou said she was pleased with the result: “Although the market has been difficult in the past few years, we have been able to increase distributions and believe we will be able to continue increasing distributions by growing our fleet."
