A new Danish maritime investment fund backed and managed by Navigare Capital Partners has secured its first purchase in what promises to be a broad shipowning venture.
The cross sector fund’s first move has come in the products tanker market with the purchase of two medium-range (MR) vessels from Italy’s LGR di Navigazione.
It has acquired the STX Offshore-built, 50,000-dwt Miseno and Nisida (both built 2012) at $24m each, sources say.
