Norway's Jotun, the world’s largest producer of marine paint, has posted an increased profit in the second four-month period of this year, compared to the four first months. The pre-tax profit rose to NOK 526m ($65.7m) from NOK 464m.
Following the earnings report, managing director Morten Fon said he sees clear signs of improvement in the shipping market.
“For example, we have signed significantly more new construction contracts so far this year than previously,” he said.
