Danish ro-ro group DFDS is to book a charge from restructuring its Italian logistics operations.
The division has produced "unsatisfactory" results, it said.
Most of its activities involve rail transport between Italy and Sweden, Denmark and the UK.
"These activities will be offered by other operators or cease latest 1 April 2018," it added.
Warehousing and distribution activities based in Fagnano, north of Milan, will also stop.
