Kistefos owner Christen Sveaas is generously rewarding company boss Bengt Rem for the company's results for 2018.
According to the just-released annual report for the Norwegian diversified investment company, Rem received remuneration of NOK 23.6m ($2.75m), up from NOK 8m for 2017. NOK 20m of last year's compensation to Rem was a bonus.
Kistefos, which is wholly owned by Sveaas whose investments include shipping and offshore, last year logged a pre-tax profit of NOK 1.9bn
