The Japanese giant reported a drop in revenue at the segment of 14% to JPY39.5bn ($404m) for the six months to 30 September.
Shipping and offshore accounted for 7% of the company’s totalsales of JPY 595bn during the period, down a shade from 8% a year earlier.
Total orders for the segment dropped by 19% to JPY 30.7bn.
KHI reported net income of JPY 13bn in the first six monthsup from JPY 12.4bn
