Kawasaki Heavy Industries is considering a drastic revision of its shipbuilding business and has even indicated that it may pull out of the business.
Friday saw the Japanese shipbuilder revise its profit forecast downwards for the financial year ending next March.
It blamed the deterioration on a stronger yen versus the dollar and a decline in operating profits from its shipbuilding business.
