Construction problems in fitting insulation to the tanks of four LNG carriers is hitting Japan Marine United (JMU)'s bottom line to the tune of ¥30bn ($274m).
The huge losses were revealed by JMU shareholder IHI Corp in its latest earnings announcement.
IHI said it would register a special investment loss of ¥11.3bn due to the JMU losses to the third quarter of fiscal 2017.
