The Chinese shipbuilder says it is operating with minimal staff consisting of key officers and some administrative and finance staff.
Singapore-listed JES says it has asked the Jiangsu High Court over the lower Taizhou Court's decision to reject its restructuring application. A decision is expected in November.
"The board wishes to assure the shareholders of the company that in the interim, the company has already commenced negotiation with potential investors and its creditors on the restructuring proposal to be submitted to the Jiangsu High Court," the company said in a statement.
