Baupost says it has picked up 200,000 shares in the Oslo-listed shipowner for multiple parties.
This means it controls 3,677,467 shares in the company overall, a 5.26 % slice.
Baupost explains none of its clients hold more than 5% of Hoegh LNG individually.
Norway’s Leif Hoegh is the largest shareholder in the shipowner with a 44.6% slice.
Allianz, Fairview Capital and Nordea Funds are the largest outside investors.
