International Seaways experienced a heavier loss for the third quarter tied to vessels sales and a weaker market.

The Lois Zabrocky-led company posted a $47.8m net loss versus a $21.8m deficit due to loss on vessel sales, including held-for-sale impairment charges, of $17.4m.

Loss per share came in at $1.64 versus $0.75 a year earlier.
