Idan Ofer’s Eastern Pacific Shipping is set to benefit from the soaring rates in the midsize LPG carrier market, after locking a newbuilding into a very profitable three-year charter.
European shipbrokers said the diversified shipping company had secured a fixture at $750,000 per month for the 38,000-cbm Yukon, which is due for delivery next year from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard.
That would provide revenue of $27m over the charter period.
