A hedge fund withdrawn a lawsuit that it filed against Ultrapetrol's executives, board members and shareholder Southern Cross after reaching a settlement deal.
A lawyer for Copernico Argentina Fund, which is backed by New York's Copernico Capital Partners, told US District Judge Denise Cote that Southern Cross's Sparrow Capital Investments has agreed to pay just $200,000 to end the case, which was launched on the eve of Ultrapetrol's bankruptcy filing.
