Hanjin Shipping has asked a US court to approve the sale of Hanjin's stake in two terminals to Mediterranean Shipping Co and Hyundai Merchant Marine.

The request comes after Long Beach Harbor Commission approved the sale in a 3-1 vote.

Cole Schotz lawyer Ilana Volkov is representing Hanjin in the US Bankruptcy Court.

MSC and HMM were the leading bidders in an effort to sell Hanjin's 54% stake in Total Terminals International, which owns container terminals in Long Beach and Seattle.
