Ship engine building giant MAN Energy Solutions is to sack almost 4,000 employees as part of a restructuring exercise caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The German-headquartered company said 3,000 of the jobs would be lost at its domestic plants, while a further 950 would be lost at its overseas operations.
MAN Energy Solutions employs some 14,000 people at over 120 sites globally, according to its website.
