Oslo-listed Eidesvik reported net profit for the period of NOK110.5m ($17.8m) compared to NOK 99.3m for the same quarter last year.

Excluding the gain on the NOK 50m sale of the 3,400-dwtViking Forcados (built 2002), operating profit improved by 20% to NOK 76.7mfrom NOK 62.7m.

Total revenue was NOK 299.7m compared to NOK 220.9 for thesame period last year.

“The market for platform supply vessels in the North-Sea hasbeen good in 3rd quarter and we expect this positive trend to continue on longterm basis for high quality vessels, but seasonal variations must be expected,”Eidesvik said in its earnings statement.
