George Economou’s DryShips says a US Securities and Exchange Commission probe of its stock sales through Kalani Investments is “ongoing” and has included multiple subpoenas.
It is the first time the Nasdaq-listed company has referenced more than an initial August 2017 SEC subpoena in the case and its first indication that the investigation continues.
The disclosure is contained in a single paragraph on the 32nd page of 37 pages of footnotes to DryShips’ quarterly financial statements, filed today with the SEC.
