Diamond S Shipping is considering possible pool employment for its underperforming suezmax fleet and sale of some older handysize product tankers after absorbing an attack from a disenchanted merger partner.
Those remarks from chief executive Craig H Stevenson Jr came after Diamond S lost money in the third quarter and forecast weaker rates in the current three-month period.
The results came on the heels of sharp criticism from Greek shipowner and shareholder Evangelos Marinakis, who merged his Capital Product Partners tanker fleet into Diamond in a 2019 transaction.
