Costamare shares jumped Monday after Credit Suisse upgraded the containership owner's shares.

The Greek containership owner's stock price jumped 14.5% to $7.72 in early afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

The surge amounted added $88.6m to the company's market capitalisation and brought the stock to the highest point since October.

As TradeWinds reported earlier today, Credit Suisse analyst Gregory Lewis upgraded Costamare's shares to "neutral" from "underperform" as he identified signs that the containership market is bottoming out.
